LIMITED TRASH COLLECTION
Health and safety precautions related to the Covid-19 outbreak are affecting everyone and all aspects of our lives. Republic Services has announced it is limiting its residential collection practices, just as many other carriers and counties have, to protect their workers. In many areas landscape debris and bulk or heavy pickup has been suspended. Drivers are not currently authorized to leave their trucks in communities where rolling bins are provided, and only the contents of the bin will be picked up. In communities where bins are not provided, workers will only collect bagged trash, weighing less than 50 pounds, to limit their exposure to contaminated materials. As always, refuse of any kind should not be placed at the curb until just prior to collection to prevent the spread of litter and keep the community looking tidy. At this time, any item that exceeds the capacity of the provided bin (or cannot be bagged if your community does not have bins) should not be placed at the curb unless you first confirm with the collection company they will load it. Items not collected should be removed from the curb and stored out of sight until suitable arrangements can be made or these restrictions are lifted. No Comments
